UPDATE FROM THE NEST
THE TWO AND HALF MONTHS OLD CHICK IS GOING ON VERY WELL, SPENDING ALMOST ALL THE TIME SOLITARY ON TOP OF THE NEST. We will not have to wait long before to see him testing his wings.
THIRD PRIZE AT THE ITALIAN WILDLIFE CHAMPIONSHIP 2009
My picture of the “one day old elephant” , taken in Lewa Conservancy, has been awarded with the third prize in the mammals category at the ITALIAN WILDLIFE CHAMPIONSHIP 2009, among 4.026 entries and 898 photographers.

UPDATE FROM THE NEST
Finally back at the nest after two weeks out of the country. The chick is growing very well, and i think is not far from testing his wings. Only the male came to the nest at about noon, with almost half rabbit for the chick.
